About Classic Trophy Inc.

Pictured above is our showroom which is a part of our 10,000 sq ft facility located at 210 Marciel Dr. Fort Wayne, IN 46825

"Classic" was originally started in 1959 by Bob Carteaux and Marty Schmidt as Fort Wayne Bowling Supply in a small pro shop located in Key Lanes Bowling Center in Fort Wayne, Indiana. In addition to the wholesale and retail business a trophy division, a bowling lane resurfacing division and a screen print/embroidery division were soon added. The business further expanded in 1964 when a fifth division was started on a separate retail site to sell dash mounted eight track stereo tape players.

In 1965 the business was split into three separate companies: the trophy division was sold to Carl Bennet of Fort Wayne, IN and became Classic Trophy Inc., the bowling side became Classic Products Corporation and the stereo side became Classic Stereo; all of which are still in business today.

In 1983 Classic Trophy  Inc. was sold to Fred Torrence of Fort Wayne, IN and was relocated to it's current location at 210 Marciel Dr. Fort Wayne, IN 46825.

In 2006 Classic Trophy was bought by Jim & Diana Gill from Fort Wayne, Indiana. Diana worked for Fred Torrence for over 20 years as a graphics specialist.

Since 1965 Classic Trophy Inc. became a leader in the awards industry. Motorsports has been a major part in Classic's business however Classic provides trophies and awards for businesses, corporations, groups-clubs-organizations, schools and many more.

In December 2014 Classic Trophy Inc. added a new line of products: Classic Shirts - custom printed and embroidered apparel.

2015 marked the 50th anniversary for Classic Trophy Inc.

In August of 2015 Jim & Diana decided to retire to Florida and sold Classic Trophy Inc. to their grandson Zac Weidler (President) and their daughter Angie Gulley (Vice President). Zac and Angie have a combined experience of over 20 years of employment at Classic and are very excited to be a part of Classic journey.
